International Women’s Day Rally

Action for Choice is delighted to support ROSA’s Rally for International Women’s Day.

The Rally will take place on Saturday 7th March from 1.30pm at The Spire, O’Connell Street.

– Demand a referendum to repeal the 8th amendment in the lifetime of this Government.

– Shame on Labour for continuing to deny women’s right to life, health and equality by denying us our democratic right to a referendum to lift Ireland’s Medieval abortion ban

Therese Caherty of Action for Choice, said: “The protest on International Women’s Day calls for a women’s right to choose, opposes violence against women, and demands an immediate lifting of austerity. We feel that all these questions are crucial in relation to the ongoing struggle for women’s equality, including the question of ending austerity. We need the opposite – major public investment in public resources, assists and amenities for women to leave abusive relationships including refuges, counselling and access to public housing.”
